cTrader Copy Trading
cTrader copy trading replicates a strategy provider's trades onto follower accounts, scaled to each follower's allocation. The mechanics are the same as on any platform; what differs is which vendors build the surrounding broker-side tooling.
StockVala's standard product line is built around MT5 infrastructure. cTrader integration is available as custom development rather than as an off-the-shelf module — raise it early in scoping so it can be assessed properly. This page is published as an honest explanation of the landscape, not a claim of off-the-shelf support.
Copy trading works the same way conceptually on any platform: a master trades, followers receive proportionally sized versions of those trades, and the relationship is client-initiated and client-controlled.
Where implementations differ
Not in the happy path. In the failures:
- A follower without enough margin to take the position.
- A master order that is only partially filled.
- A master closing part of a position rather than all of it.
- An operation that fails at the platform level.
What a broker needs beyond replication
Master registration and visibility control, follower subscription and allocation settings, risk limits per relationship, performance reporting on both sides, and failure visibility. The replication engine is the obvious part; the surrounding tooling is what makes it a product.
